This is a 245 mm x 55 Japanese style kitchen knife in 26C3 high carbon steel with East Indian Rosewood and a G10 frame handle. This is a stock removal blade.
The blade is differentially hardened showing evidence of a hamon, although I do not polish the blade highly to reveal it.
The edge is hardened to 62/63 RC.
Weight is 220 grams
Balance is well forward of the handle, about 40 mm.
The handle on this is oversized but I can take it down to a more common size.
I'll get spine measurements soon...
