Thanks for the question. The design intent is thin but rigid. There is a little flex in the tip portion, but it is not a fillet knife.
 
thanks for the info. what is the spine thickness at the "bolster" and at the tip, please?
 
I can provide numbers this evening when I am back home. I can say there is a significant taper in the spine thickness from the bolster area to the tip.
