Some New for 2020 SOG News.

I think they have done some good updates of previous models with the XR lock.

There should be more new products shown at the 2020 SHOT Show in the third week of January.

fingers tightly crossed then...
i honestly would like to give them a try.
but finding it awfully hard to like
something that doesn't quite give
out instant cupid vibes.
i really can't make out the styling
direction of their folders.
understandably they have ditched
the ancient 'nam sog roots.
so is it uber urban, modern gents,
cyberpunk, perhaps ??!
because they appear highly unusual
to the point of being an aquired taste.
maybe its just me out of sync with
the futuristic vision of sog's folders :)

I think SOG, like a lot of established knife companies, is having trouble navigating the new trend toward knives as functional pocket jewelry. How far do you go trying to satisfy people's desire for variety--colors, handle materials, blade steels? How do you successfully market to soldiers, cops, farmers, hikers, and hipsters? I have no idea! I feel sorry for the marketing folks trying to keep up with fickle audiences.

Just from that article, I'm not impressed. I'll be curious to see what they have at shot and also the street prices.
 
The seal xr and terminus are the best new sogs to come around in years they should work off those 2 models ...
 
I watched the shot BHQ video and remain unimpressed with SOG's new stuff and seeming direction.
