Sons of anarchy knife glitch

@ColonelX

Sorry to disappoint, but the characters are actually different. They show all the main cast in the opening scene, and one is holding the balisong, and then a different character is holding the stiletto

I actually like the fact that "Jax" carries a Ka-Bar...makes me wish I could have one hipside at all times. BTW the show rocks face.

YingYang, they aren't allowed to replicate Active Duty uniforms, not sure about retired uniforms.

Sons of Anarchy is such an epic show. Have the 1st season on DVD, been hooked on the 2nd one lately. I've noticed alot of them carry what seems to be a KA BAR Bowie on their side. Not sure though.

i just started watching SoA this season, one question, maybe a dumb one, who the hell is "sam crow", you know, "ya dont mess with sam crow/etc" is that some kinda slang for there club, or someone who was in it last year? or what?

i'm lost.

several of my buds watched it last yr and didnt notice peg bundy was in it lol so i dont feel too bad, she looks pretty good for her age FWIW.

i do like the show though, its a good one.

It's an acronym:

Sons of
Anarchy
Motorcycle
Club
Redwood
Original

My favourite tv show this year ;)

One of my favorite films the Bourne Ultimatum is guilty of this.At the end of the show when he has the doctor at gunpoint his weapon switches from a Sig225/226 type to a Glock.

This is the result of the anti's making movies.
Dare they hire a consultant from the NRA to teach them a thing or 2

More like movie budgets. You might be surprised the kind of talent hollywood hires when they can afford it.

case in point, The Rock, in the shower scene (that sounds so wrong when reading it) asside from Shaun Connery and nick cage, several of those gentlemen were active duty SF types playing navy seals in the movie.

So yes the lefties make movies, but they also know how to hire professionals when they feel like it.

Biggest annoyance for me is when someone points a shotgun at someone in movies. While they are arguing the guy with the shotgun will then rack it to emphasize he is serious.

So let me understand this, you were pointing an unloaded shotgun at them? Knucklehead deserves to be eliminated from the gene pool.

The first SOA episode this year, has Opie carving the anarchy symbol into that other gang members chest with what looks like a Buck 110. He is the only member that I have seen use or carry a folding knife. I am also a huge fan of the show, and yes Peg Bundy does look great for her age. What a life, gun running, porn, and general debauchery...only in hollywood...

Glitches like the knife happen because directors shoot scenes many, many times and things can not always be perfect. The actor should remember how he held the gun, knife, etc.. but it is up to the rest of the set/crew to make sure the actors do the scene the same way. Also, directors may notice and keep it the way it is based on the performance of the actors.

yeah i thought it was something like that, i about had it figured out but forgot about the redwood part lol,

peg looks a lot better in "SoA" than "married, with...." i always thought she looked goofy in married but i guess thats how they wanted ya to percieve her,

it is a pretty good series, sure portrays bikers in a bad light though, i got to know a guy who lived right down the street from my old house in austin who was a bandido, we worked out together some, watched some football/etc, he always said the 'dido's were "just a buncha harley nuts who liked to party (wink wink)" go figure lol, my wife didnt like for me to go to his house to watch football his old lady danced at the yellow rose in austin and a lotta other ladies who danced there hung at the house, and my wife knows i've always liked strippers lol, so she did not like me going there at all lol, but anyway i'm gonna call him in the next week or 2 and see if he has seen SoA and what he thinks about it, if its "real" or not, i also might see if his old lady can help a guy out, maybe set me up with one of her buds.

AFAIK there are bikers and bikers. I've red a book about undercover LEO who infiltrated HAMC ("No Angel" by Jay Dobyns), and I think that one percenters aren't better that SoA.

They do the same thing with semi Auto pistols some times. I mention it to my wife. They will be running through different scenes and then every time the gun is presented they rack the slide back. Or in some movies you just hear the sound of the slide being racked when they raise the gun. It's so stupid.
There would be live rounds being ejected and wasted all over the area if this were at all realistic.

One that bugged me was the movie about a sniper who was set up for shooting some head of state, I don't recall the name. He is shooting a Barrett M82A1 in one of the opening scenes but keeps manually charging the action on a semi auto. The only reason to charge it is because they are shooting blanks.

Later in the show he is sneaking around a house carrying a bolt action rifle. In one scene it is a right handed gun. In the next scene the bolt is on the left side, then back to the right again. I assume they just edited the image in reverse.

It's the little things that bug me. My wife hates to watch movies with me.

SDS

Just to put it out there i was watching the movie shooter with the comentary on and they were talking about manually working the m82 it was a malfunction that was caused by the blanks. the movie makers knew about it and liked the way it was shown so they just went with it.

The one thing that always annoys me is in every freak movie/tv show when some one pull a glock out of their holster to point at someone it somehow mag icky makes the 5click cocking sound of a colt single action army. Try as I may my glock has never done that

Old post for sure!

I recall an episode of Siskel & Ebert where they talked about movie mistakes.

While they were sure many were unintentional, many, many, were intentional errors made by directors/actors that thought they were being artistically clever.

Kevin Costner is infamous for them, there are dozens of errors in movies like Bull Durham.

I guess it's kinda funny....
