Gents - is there a timeline for who produced knives for Remington after the 50s? I'm eying a late-80s UMC trapper and assuming it's Camillus or Schrade?

Thanks!
M

Camillus. From 1982 until early/mid-2000s (maybe up until the factory closed in 2007...not sure), Camillus made Remington-branded knives for Remington.

Camillus first made a reproduction Remington (the R1123) in 1972 for Blackie Collins (those are stamped "Authorized Reproduction" on the reverse tang of the spey blade).

I have 2 Camillus made Remington knives, both are really good quality. I'm sure you won't be disappointed if you get it:thumbsup:

I think it's interesting that so many UMCs from the 80s and early 90s for sale are in excellent or mint condition, but so many Sears/Craftsman knives (which I believe are also Camillus?) of the period aren't. I know folks likely bought Sears knives to work with, but I actually like the look of their wood handles better most of the time.
