Spring and Copper

Just trying to learn more about heat treating...
Forged from a leaf spring........
4 Normalization cycles........
3 quenchs in peanut oil @ around 145 degrees
3 Temper cycles.. 1st at 400, then two at 375
Passed the Brass Rod Test
Passed the 3 foot point drop on concrete (three times)

Anyway....

OAL 12 3/4"
Blade - Tip to Guard 8"
Hammered finish on Copper Guard
Copper spacers
Stabilized Redwood Burl

Thanks for the comments gang...... I was more interested in the "tuff-ness" of the knife than in anything else. I think I will keep this one for myself and see if it holds up to my expectations.
