Storm stew

Thanks to stanley whites recent spike buck kill, my wife has some awesome vension stew cooking in the crock pot. What a way to ride out the storm, vension stew, biscuits and cold beer.

Bet that was good.

We made a version of Wild West Chili with some deer burger, that was in a wild game cook book. In reality it was more like a stew than chili. It called for bacon, chopped onion, peppers, carrots, celery (we left out the carrots and celery which didn't seem too chili like to me) and spices. I thought it was good, but seems I'm the only one in my family that thought so.
