Hope everyone is feeling fat & happy here, as this weekend wraps up.
Today, I’d like to offer for your approval a used and much loved sprint run Delica SuperBlue.
Both myself and the previous owner of this knife have carried it, used it, and loved it (and it has been taken care of and maintained accordingly). Please read the description, as I’m going to be as detailed and critical as possible due to the used/carried nature of this highly sought after model.
This sprint run Delica is NOT a safe queen, and probably would not be the right one for a ‘collector’. The blade’s cladding layer shows lots of surface scratches on both sides as typical of a sypdie laminate that gets carried, and there is patina showing on the exposed SB. It’s a beautiful, fairly even and light patina compared to the patina on my previous SB users. Below, you’ll see pics from multiple angles wherein I did my best to expose all of the scratches and patina. The clip is also very scratched up from carry. The laminate line on the presentation side of the blade is about as ideal as one could ask for. On the clip side, the laminate line is noticeably less even, and comes closer to the edge than the presentation side (also illustrated below). The edge is NOT factory, but IS in almost immaculate condition. Recently sharpened on a KME system & stropped well. Tip is sharp, pointy, and straight (pic below). The FRN itself, along with the hardware, is clean, showing no discolorations or gouges that can be noticed by me. The action on this particular one is better than most of the dozen or so delicas that have past through my hands in the last couple years. Centering is good to go, also much better than many of my previous delicas. Locks up solid, with no slop. Knife does NOT include original box or paperwork...but does include a badass SuperBlue blade for your slicing pleasure!
