I just received an early Xmas present! It came from my father-in-law UNWRAPPED!

A new survival book: Bushcraft-Outdoor Skills and Wilderness Survival by Mors Kochanski.

Mors is an assistant professor at the University of Alberta. He is mainly from western Canada and the book reflects that.

The book is HEAVY in camp craft and winter skills. He goes in depth in the usage of knife, axe and saw. Just from browsing through it this afternoon I've picked up a few things on tool usage.

This second edition also has a PHOTO insert at the back. I like photos, especially color! I picture is truly worth a thousand words.

The book is FILLED with line drawings that are well explained both in the picture and the text.

I just hope that I still get Greg's book too! There is hope, my wife got a package from Amazon.com today and made it a DEFINITE point that I not see what was in it!
