<b>"there are some real smartasses in here like Ken Cook, but hey, I don't know anything about being that way...so I try to understand him.

Don Rearic, trying to be, "The Kinder...Gentler..."</b>

(Place deep southern gentleman's accent here)
Suh, Ah do buhleive Ah have been soh-rely maligned and defamed!
While Ah can assure you that mah posteria is quite as intelligent as th' rest of my august body, Ah feel th' term SMAHT ass is fah too crude an appelation for one so well bred and genteel as mahself.

In short suh,
Up yers!
:p

Truth to be told, I think Don's hit on something here. There is no infighting among Suspects. We all recognize the value of the other's pursuits and are united more than anything else by our mutual recognition, respect, and appreciation for a GREAT knife company.

Now if we could just convince Don to quit washing his feet in the commode! (It leaves a nasty ring.)
:D

Could it be that the leadership of EKI influences our interactions? There are those on this forum that are fairly close to the Emerson organization. They relate their experiences with Ernie, highlighting the positive nature of the man. In turn, these folk treat virtual strangers as welcomed walk-ins. After awhile, you kinda notice a cultural code... one based on respect. We're here to learn and have fun while doing so. Can't learn if you don't have respect for the knowledge and the effort it took to aquire.

... That's my take, it's comes from the top.

I feel like low man on the totem arounf here anymore:
99 CQC6 w/ skull clip
EKI LaGriffe
Perrin G-10 covert sterile laGriffe. Working on another 6 but if falls thru might have to pick up the Viper 1 from Les

I would like to one day purchase a Discless Commander like "Big Daddy" John Hollister has.

Ken Cook, you remember the old Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner Show? The brick in the glove to get slapped and challenged to a duel?

Oh...Oh...and the two Hillbillies doing the Square Dance of Violence? Heh heh heh...Bugs calling out the moves...great stuff. Arkansas...you sure all talk funny. :D

Well, as of today, I have the following: 1 CQC5, 2CQC6's,one serrated, one non-serrated,2 CQC7's, one satin finished non-serrated, one bead-blasted serrated, 1CQC8, 1 Viper3, 1ESM1 all black, 1 Specwar prototype, 2 Commander(CM1) prototypes and 1 tanto neck knife.

SUSPECT ?

Okay, so we've heard Don's idea of his interpretaion of what constitutes a 'usual suspect', and other senior suspect's ideas on what qualities make up a 'suspect'.

But no one has indicated who bestows the title 'Usual suspect' to the suspect "Apprentice".

This is the best description we could come up with for a "Usual Suspect". It's in the Emerson Gallery

The Emerson Gallery:
"<U>Usual Suspect</U>" - Term coined by Les Robertson in 01/99. A person that frequents and participates in the Emerson Forum on BF.com. In fact it should be considered synonymous with "Frequent Participant". Custom ownership is not required, just enthusiasm for the products.

Don, you want to let him in on the whole "Goat's Blood" thing? :D

You want to know something funny? I just read that thread for I think, I think now, the very first time. GAK.:barf:

I've never handled the Emerson Warrior, but the other three, if I remember correctly it was three, that I did were excellent. And I ain't talking about no GOT-DAM Timberline either...

Goat's Blood...hmm...I wonder. No, let's not bring Arkansas into this. :D

Suspect- Brigadier

Brigadier:

Having read the threads on GB&U on EKI...and seeing your defensive ferver for Emerson Knives- I think it would be safe to say you've made 'Suspect" grade :D

I look forward to reading about Suspect opinions on EKI blades :) Everyone always has something of interest to contribute.

But that Rearic guy, he kinda scares me ;)

Just Speculation...
I figure if Don, Sniper, JohnH or one of the other Suspects call you a `Bastid' in the posts then you've done something to warrant full membership.:D

ah yeah, . . . blowing on the blood to dry it to keep it from smearing! YOU'RE IN !

Now, I got to tell ya there's still one higher rank that most of you are not aware of. . . . . . And that's the elated rank of "UPI SUSPECT" I just can't say more, and there's only a couple of people who are a part of that elated group. . . . not that you'd even want to be in it!

Maybe if ya beg, Rearic will explain!

Alas, you must get in line, for apparently, I scare many around BFC. (Basically because I speak my mind, even if it puts me in a vat of boiling manure) Heh... :D

I lurk, I own, I listen, & I learn.

I guess that qualifies me for, "A bothersome, Usual Suspect wanna be"

However,

I am, Usually Suspected of something! :D
