Swift 1+2's problem fixed?

I read about a few swift's torsion bar snapping off on a few other forums and Amazon reviews; I was wondering if CS got around to this and checking out/fixing the problem? I'm very interested in a swift 2 but I don't want a broken knife.

Anybody hear anything on this?

My original Swift is still functioning fine. I don't know if it was just some from a particular batch that had issues or if this is something that will eventually effect all original Swifts. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. No idea if the latest ones with the safeties have any tweaks or redesigns to make the lock/assist spring stronger.

I imagine this is the weak point of any assisted knife.
As long as the part is available and easy to install this wouldn't deter me one bit about getting a Swift.
