They are the same geometry, the trail version is just wd-5 with part of it removed from the spine.Which version is slicier, the regular WD5 or the trail point? Main use would be to field strip game.
100% agree! I actually used the trail point version as one of my primary butchering knives on my deer this year for tendon and silverskin removal for this exact reason.Personally I would go with the trail point for field dressing/skinning. Either will serve you well but I like a narrower point for fine work.
