Mak! Thank you for the pictures!
Look at you, handsome young man!
Great design on that blade!
You always have such fantastic items to show!
You spend a lot of time & effort to take pictures & post them...
I appreciate your hard work sharing the pictures!
Things I'd never see here in Canada...
Thanks again!!
Best wishes to you & yours!!

Both Great Mak!
Interesting to me seeing the different guard between Russia & North America...
Maybe because I'm Ukranian I like the Russian style!
Those are interesting fillers... And nice wood on the handle!

The Gerber is nice, looks like a good sheath!
I was surprised to learn that some of those Gerbers were made with the handle at bit of an angle to the blade.

I only have 50 or so knives... I'm sure you have many of them.
I have been lazy in learning how to post pics consistently...
But I will get some.

One of my favourites is the Spivey Sabertooth. Jefferson Spivey rode a horse across the US in the 60's to promote
riding & recreation trails, along the way he designed his knife, the Spivey Sabertooth.
He sells them on his website, along with the book he wrote about the trip.
He's a very interesting guy... He used to teach handgun tricks shooting in Hollywood!

W Randall taught J Spivey how to heat treat the steel blades.
I think you would like to see them.
Thanks again for the pics...
have a great weekend Makandr!
Randy

I also Ukrainian from Russia .... as to Spivey Sabertooth .... with a hole under the finger you can lose it.

Small world eh Makandr?!?!
Both of us with Ukrainian ancestry...
But alas;
I forgot almost everything my baba taught me...
I'm very sad, my parents & grandparents are all dead.
I was only 6 when my Grandpa passed away at 49, same age as me now...

I know my Grandparents on both sides lived in Northern Alberta, and were farmers.
They never talked much about the past, and I was too foolish not to have asked more.
I don't even know where their family & ancestors lived.

Maybe someday I will use one of those family tree sites. Someday.
There are some relatives that I wish not to see ever, so that is part of my hesitation.

I just love that Sabertooth knife!
I carry it more than any other fixed blade I own...

I bought several (5) from mr Jefferson Spivey, and gave them to my "brothers" my true friends that have helped me, and I know will always help me with anything.

I even bought myself an extra, that is untouched in the safe, (just in case I lose mine, I have another!) And a spare sheath. I may try my hand at putting a Randall style pouch & an extra retaining strap around the handle... Just for piece of mind when I'm riding my Harley...
Jefferson Spivey is a very nice guy! We email a bit, and chat on the phone at times...
He really is an interesting guy...

Well Makandr, I will talk to you later!
Randy

Good Morning Mak!
Nice Bowie knife!
The skull head dagger s mean lookin!
That other knife with the coloured grips makes me dizzy lol!

Looks fun!
Medieval sword play, & Jousting! Some pretty ladies all dressed up!
Please tell me you are not jousting Mak, not at our age, lol!!
Take it easy Mak!
Thanks for the pics!
Randy

No, I'm not a knight, I prefer the shotgun.
With colored handle - manufactured in prison.

Hello Makandr!
Yeah, I like shotguns too...
Maybe a modern knight...? Haha...

That is amazing, even more so from a prison!
Much nicer than the usual razor blade melted into a toothbrush....
Have a great day!

I made this one out of CPM-10V. It was a SOB to grind, but I really like this steel. It's one of the better steels I've used for a tactical knife because it holds an edge for a LONG time and is surprisingly tough--seems close(ish) to D2 in that regard. Anyway, the blade is 4.5" and has been Caswell oxide coated. The handle is CF over OD/black G10 liners.
