Taggedout...thoughts?

The step is subtle and I don’t find it any problem during use

As to Orange, there’s a crazy fan club that absolutely love all knives Orange. While I am not as fervent about it, I do like it quite a bit as it’s easily seen and is a nice departure from all the black handled knives

Edited to add a photo, always good to add a photo ;)

Would love it if they went a similar way as the Bugout/Bailout and made a Drop Out ( ;) ) - drop point blade tagged out, the exact same dimensions and grind height just instead of a straight clipped point make it a nice gentle drop point, keep the opening hole, maybe other color/material handles.

I bet this one sells well. I see a lot of potential with the design too. I can't wait to see the variants they go with. S45VN and G10, maybe in forest green, would be very interesting.

At first glance, I don't care for the big step on the scales, may feel ok though.
Personally, I despise blaze orange. I only have a couple articles of clothing to meet hunting requirements, and that's enough.
Looking forward to more scale options.
I know quite a few people that set their knife down after field dressing a deer and never saw it again. The orange makes sense in the woods.

I agree, that would suck and I hope it never happens to me. I'm still not buying an orange knife though. There's also a hole to attach the biggest blaziest lanyard you want, which I am not opposed to. This knife should really shine where a functional, lightweight piece of gear is valued.

To each his own. I also own an auto repair shop. Orange and bright green tools are harder to forget under the hood of a car so I have given up on them looking cool.

Looks like we got somebody making scales for the Taggedout:

They make some nice scales. Ordered a set of their CF scales for my Spyderco Endura. They are based in Australia. Scales are made to order, so takes a couple weeks to ship. Received 1 week later.

I hadn't heard of that company before- pretty cool stuff, higher price point than Flytanium, but totally worth it since they're not made in China. Never mind the carbon scales, look at the micarta ones they offer 😍il_fullxfull.4159679752_17nw_1080x.jpg

I got a chance to see one at a local dealer today. I didn't get to hold it, since they were busy and I didn't have a lot of time. It definitely looks nice, but boy is it very orange!

I've been carrying mine for about a week now, have been extremely pleased. For my hand this is the right sized bugout, I do not miss the thumbstud whatsoever, and while I was lukewarm on the clip point blade shape at first I am loving it in use. I will be purchasing Titanium scales for it once they are available somewhere - the grivory is fine but I really prefer Ti whenever I can get it. Overall this knife is extremely slicey and a delight to use.

Looks good in the pictures. I will defiantly like to get one in hand to try.

Saw 3rd party CF scales with imperfections for about 53 bucks, hoping for colored CF-Elite though. Love the Taggedout's geometry and SelectEdge, waiting to see one disassembled to check out frame size and compare it to Bugout.

I like the look of this, but not the bright orange scales. Black or olive drab would be great.
The orange wasn't ideal but it seems to have dimmed a bit after carrying it for a while now. I am waiting on some good aftermarket stuff to hit the streets. If not I will dye them myself.
