Take the test - can you spot a fake?

I'm thinking the 2nd one (like other people) - not sure why, the proportions of the handle-blade (and the 'bolster' bit between the guard and the blade) just don't look right, at least, not compared to the top one. But what do I know.

#2 is fake . The tang would have to be toothpic narrow , the hilt/guard doesnt look right , and the handle is way to small .

As I said in the original thread, you're asking a guy who almost bought 3 day old aged Indian fake antique khukuris for the real thing.

I pass again!!!!!!!

But it's too late as you already posted the correct answer in the other thread.:D  :p ;)

I'm curious. I looked hard. Good thing I don't buy antique firearms...or spitoons, for that matter. for the record, at 6.52 my tme, i vote 2 is fake. that probably means it is number 1.

What's the answer?

Guys like n2s, John Powell and the Indian seller of counterfeit antique khukuris make me realize how little I know.
