Tasmanian vs. Connie

I think a Tasmanian is a derivative of the Connecticut pattern. They tend to be a little blockier and have a shorter poll. But as you've realized they are very similar axes.

Tasmanian were usually made in 4 and 4-1/2 pound weights, sometimnes even heavier. Connies were typically made in 3, 3-1/2 & 4 pound weights.
