The BeltSword?

I guess that's it then. Between this and the "tactical balls" I've seen it all. You can go ahead and shoot me now.

But why shoot you when my RAZOR SWORD has enough KINETIC ENERGIES to BLOW UP YOUR COLON with it's HELLA COOL ROUNDED EDGE. HOLY BALLS.

"# Military: There are military applications. Unable to comment.
# Police: There are law enforcement applications."

The military applications line irked my as well. Just not tasteful to add that, on top of it being BS.

Something to think about...if the sword is flexible enough to bend around your wait, let's say you whip it out and it proceeds to dramatically droop down and swing a bit as you pose behind it.

All that masculine imagery driving its marketing suddenly goes...a bit limp, pun intended.

Ha-ha-ha. Funny as hell. I'm going to get one if those get here. Save money for it even. My wife would love seeing this on me, the nights of endless laughter would be priceless.

No self-respecting individual would buy one for SD reasons. So you're left to wonder who would wear such a thing? Criminals and thugs, that's who. Don't these makers realize that making these products only make it easier for people with malicious intent to carry out their activities?

There's three reasons why someone shouldn't buy one:

First of all, that weapon has to be just as dangerous to the person using it as it is to the person they're trying to use it against. Second, if you're gonna go the route of using a "sword" as a self-defense weapon, I think it's time to consider getting a license for a gun instead. Not to mention you'll look like a fashion disaster with that outdated belt style.

Penetration: A semi-sharp RazorSword was tested in competition with a semi-sharp machete and a semi-sharp Samurai Sword. Due to the immediate acceleration of the RazorSword to “top speed” and the lack of blade resistance (RazorSword Blade is thin) the RazorSword penetrated much deeper into 1/2 inch thick plywood (against the grain) than either the Samurai or the machete. (This was much to our own amazement due to the cutting reputation of both the machete and the renowned Samurai Sword)

Calling a Katana a "samurai sword"= the first clue that they know absolutly jack about swords.

Since these test may be repeated by anyone; RazorRazor made sure of test reliability. Could someone have a $3,000 Katana that is folded 200 times beat the RazorSword…probably; but we have total concealment and the greatest weapon of all, “the element of surprise”!

Claiming that a katana is folded 200 times= the second clue that they know absolutly jack about swords. Yup, this is definitely the company I want to buy a sword from.

This weapons system was demonstrated in front of a group of mixed martial arts experts...

So, where do swords come into play in the MMA game?

The massive sword...

The sword is actually not that massive.

If you have ever held a high-carbon solid steel real battle ready sword; you will find most are not very well balanced and heavy in use.

Tell that to the guys over at swordforum.

"Solid steel?" As opposed to what, hollow steel?

"Real battle ready sword?" As opposed to what, a fake battle ready sword? That's pretty oxymoronic.

RazorRazor believes the cable cut by the jet’s wing may have been even larger than the cable example above. The jets wing is rounded and made of light reinforced aluminum and steel…not nearly as dense as the specially tempered and hardened high carbon spring steel of the RazorSword. The wing from the jet is extremely dull; however the “rounded edge” and aero dynamic design / high speed created so much kinetic energy it cut through a massive steel cable with only minor damage to the wing. The same physics apply to the RazorSword. (We are not suggesting that the RazorSword is capable of cutting through 1.5 inches of steel cable)

Gunfucius say: Energy transfer of speeding jet much greater than energy transfer of speeding sword.

Deployment is faster than a handgun...

Not quite.

We are conducting experiment with various BeltSword Systems as a complete weapon platform. It will be capable of holding multiple weapons with simultaneous deployment.

Calling Batman; your new Bat-belt is ready.

There are very important reasons for an edged weapon system to have a platform with multiple weapon options. It is extremely critical to have optional sizes, weights, flexibility, speed, and point of balance…this is paramount to have an effective modern weapon system.

Nah, I think I'll stick with the good old machete myself.

Dang, I never knew poking fun at stuff could be so much fun!:D

Semi-sharp.... they should have used " Semi-Sharp Surgical Stainless Steel "

If I ever need to semi cut something , I will pick up my semi-phone and give them my semi-credit card info and semi-order it.

The folks at Frost Cutlery have some competition now... SEMI-Sharp knives. For when you really don't need to cut it but want to look like you are.

Next up , semi-sharp scissors ! ;)

as Dr.Lathe said on another forum " Great , you can use it to gap your spark plugs as well ".

I.... Uh....... well.....

Ok I got nothing to really contribute to the thread, I kind of think that would be funny to use as a prop in a movie though.

But other than that BOOBIES!

No self-respecting individual would buy one for SD reasons. So you're left to wonder who would wear such a thing?
Gullible fools and only the most elite of mall ninjas.

Criminals and thugs, that's who.
Lowlifes don't spend that kind of money on edged weapons.

Don't these makers realize that making these products only make it easier for people with malicious intent to carry out their activities?
Not really. A criminal could more easily just pull out a knife and stab you or, if they're a big spender, buy and saw down a shotgun for half the price of a beltsword.

I want to see him stab or slash something. That blade would flex and snap back so hard it'd bend all the way back and cut his hand off.

...

I don't know who would wear it, but I'm sure a lot of avid blade-o-philes here will be ordering.

We are not talking about a Dork Ops, run of the mill, blood-grooved, tacticool knife. This is really out there. Such a preposterous idea, actually brought to life, it is a MUST for collectors everywhere.

When this company crashes and burns you won't be thought much of a serious knife fan when you can't answer affirmatively (after showing your collection) the following question:

"Yeah, but do you own a BELT SWORD?"

:D

I lost count of the typos, laughing too hard . . . were they at BLADE?

thx - cpr
