The Honey Badger; Im Not Impressed

The liner is very thin, and the material used in the liners and pocket clip seem cheap. I guess I was expecting more from the videos I saw and was definitely disappointed when I got it.
The materials seem on par with most other knives you can get for $25.

Artisan Cutlery, Waistline, D2, $55. I felt disappointed, as well with this is Chinese import. Thick/square handle, sharp liner edges, ridiculously small/sharp lanyard hole, all around crappy pocket clip. This knife could be really good with some tweeking. Besides the "sharpness", the fit, and finish are superb. I LOVE the way this knife looks.

That thing looks pretty interesting. CRKT made something similar a while back, one of the Williams collaborations. This looks way better. Too bad it wasn't designed properly.

Just got the large one and within 5 minutes its back in the box with a shipping label

Wait, I’m confused.

In one post you mention the knife being back in the box within 5 minutes, then in another post you discuss the thickness and quality of the liners. The liners are fully nested in the GFN scales and can only be guaged after disassembly.

So, which is it? Did you immediately ship off the knife or disassemble and inspect it?

I have a feeling you may have signicantly overpaid for this knife due to internet hype. I’ve noticed the prices rising to an inappropriate level. You may be mostly feeling buyers remorse.

I’ll repeat again, this is a decent choice in a $25 knife; at +$40; not so much.

You are talking about the CRKT Crossbones, I believe. It is an ok knife. It is very thin, and light. Mine has a late lock up. It is way past 50%. I hope it doesn't move anymore.
I don't think there are many 'Western knife' experts in China. My waistline has a "deep carry" pocket clip, but it is positioned 1/2" from the end of the knife. It doesn't make any sense.

Just from looking at it and seeing the liner lock you can tell how thin it is. The blade stock is very thin, too. the nested liners are the same thickness as the liner lock itself.and just the look of the material used in the liners and pocket clip look cheap. I know its a budget folder, but I guess I was expecting more. I had a Kershaw link in frn which is much much nicer than this.Just wish the blade was 3.5 on it...

No, it was the CRKT Hissatsu I was referring to. Not a great knife. Just noticed the similarity.

Not sure what the knife culture is in China. Never visited there. You’d think with civilians not getting to own firearms they would gravitate to carrying knives. But they might have a totally different tradition of what an EDC knife is.

I love the Hissatsu, and the Shizuka Noh Ken. The latter is much thinner, and lighter. They are both "cool", and rugged.

This one's been re labeled by many. It's also known as the mtech evolution g10.
I'd stay far away but that's just me. Mtech have been very bad knives but recently been just rebranding knives from elsewhere in China.

In any case... I don't understand why any of the reviews say the hb is good even at that price. But that's how trends start. And I kind of find that annoying.

for its price point it is a very nice knife and I own quite a few very high end flippers and the HB actually flips pretty good even compared to them. You cant really try to compare this to more expensive ones and be happy---sorry.For me it makes for a great knife to gift to friends to use as a beater knife.

I received the middle size one today in black, it was gifted to me from another forum member when I purchased another knife he had listed
I have to say I'm very impressed with this little $30.00 knife, I think it will make a great EDC
