The Les George Knives Thread

Added a Myna to the family. What a great design! Handle ergos, blade shape, action. It does have the slightly off centering that seems common with these for some reason, but the action is great with no play and no rubbing.

Love the Christmas theme and the VECP!

Question for the fellow LGJ’s (Les George Junkies):

I keep missing out on a VECP button lock, so to scratch the itch I’ve been looking at the LG Fox Anzu.

For any of you who have or have handled both, does the Anzu feel like an LG? Can you recommend it as a half-price alternative for the VECP?

Thanks in advance.

I've never handled an Anzu, but since it's an axis lock and Les has never made an axis lock, I don't think it would be indicative of what a Les George knife is like aside from the general shape.

To me, one of the most appealing aspects of a Les George knife is that every midtech and custom comes directly out of his shop. He designed it, he milled the scales, he sharpened the blade, he assembled the knife, he quality tested it, etc. That level of oversight isn't the case on knife designs he licenses, so while the Anzu may very well be a good knife, I don't think it's going to provide much insight into the experience of owning something Les made himself.

That's my two cents, but if you do get an Anzu, please let us know your thoughts! I really like the design.

The last one for the year!

Been wanting this one for a while. There was only one drop of these and I missed out. The diamond pattern is a personal favorite of mine.

Damn bro you're scoring all kinds of sweet ones! I'm happy you out of all the people got them! I give you full credit for giving me the Les bug, along with many others I'm sure 😁
