I'm not certain, we're actually having talks about that here today.

We have been shipping overseas, however foreign shipments represent a disproportionate number of problems, due to shipping challenges. Foreign shipments tend to get lost, confiscated or stolen and the problem becomes our problem.

We have recently had yet another foreign customer that was dissatisfied with our service due to issues caused by international shipping. It is the second time that we have had a seriously dissatisfied customer go on to the internet and start trashing our brand because they were upset with us due to shipping issues that were outside of our control. This customer was in Canada, the previous was in the Netherlands. I have identified foreign shipping as being one of the greatest threats to our brand so we are looking at other options such as foreign dealers to better serve our foreign customers.

We're talking about it here today. I want to try to find a way to better serve our foreign customers without the problems associated with international shipping. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

I don’t really see how it should reflect poorly on your brand if something outside your control gets in the way so I’m sorry to hear about that. I can also fully appreciate your line of thought regarding everything you’ve said.

I’m not certain what the rules and regulations are for Canada and the Netherlands but for what it’s worth I live in Australia and have imported maybe 20-30+ knives from US and Europe without any confiscations or lost items. Contrary to popular myth we can actually own guns and knives here 😁

I feel like it’s time to upgrade the cheap fixed blade I keep in the Ute for work. I’ll be interested if possible to get one of yours over here. I guess I’ll watch this space 👍🏼

Not to "get involved" but I agree with you on the whole foreign shipping thing....
This might be a logistics nightmare for a business.? But.
I once shipped to a BF member here who had a friend/coworker stationed at a US military base. and sending the package to them was actually Just like sending it to someone here stateside. (costing too) Fairly easy. Easier than sending to Canada.
But it was slow, it took 2 months.

maybe if you have a trusted fan overseas that might be an option for those occurrences. Or set up a distributor on base? as a side gig?
Not to mention you maybe could market the whole US Forces market with your goods!

We talked about it and we're not going to stop shipping to good established foreign customers like you, but we are considering pointing new foreign customers to a dealer of some kind. We'll figure something out.

Don't let two rotten apples spoil the bunch, you're upfront that the customer is taking a risk with international shipping. That's fair.

An unhinged irate dissatisfied customer can go on the internet and cause an awful lot of damage to a brand. This has happened twice in our company history, and they have both been foreigners. It just isn't worth it.

I've never had trouble with customs when I'm there in person. When I was living in Canada and ordering knives and gun parts and ammo components, it just made sense to befriend someone on the US side living close to the border. I was not going to play tighten the pivot and roll the dice.

Well, I've got a funny story about that, but it will go in Random if we discuss further.

Too many drongos and flaming galahs out there, mate.

Don’t know if you guys have anything like Amazon, down under, but we see it all the time, in item reviews.

“1-Star out of 5. UPS delivered the item and the box was smushed”.

“2 stars. Haven’t used it yet”

The reviews are supposed to reflect your opinions of the ITEM, you dolts! Just HOW many times did your parents drop you on your heads, when you were little?
