I don't throw knives and am not sure I wanna set up a space to do so, but I found this for $5 at a yard sale today and couldn't pass it up for that price.

Before I even picked it up i could see it was a serious throwing knife and wasn't necessarily thinking of buying it, but then I picked it up and saw the stamp.

These were made by Camillus right ?

Anyways I'm probably going to just give this to my cousin, I know he already has some of the cheap little Chinese ones and this probably throws better.

Carbon V was an advertising name that Cold Steel used.

Camillus used a steel made by Sharon Steel called 0170-6 cutlery steel.

0170-6 was 1095 with nickle, chrome and vanadium added to "common" 1095.

Interesting stuff.
I don't tend to have much interest in blade steel information, but I don't mind learning.

You can't beat that for $5, even when they first came out they were a lot more than that and the price has only increased. Too bad they didn't have a bunch of them.

Definitely too bad.
I had no use for it so I gave it to my cousin, but I gladly paid the $5 for it.
