The Problem with Spec-Ops Sheaths...

Survival, you can fit a little more in the pouch:D

Actually, a lot more....and the strap provides for another tie down.

I've seen where someone put two zip ties in place of the chicago screw (and cut them off short) in order to accomodate a sjtac. Reportedly it worked well and the knife did not touch the ties.

You should check out www.semperparatustactical.com.

Dan's nylon/kydex rigs are awesome!
Some view it as an inconvenience to send a knife off for fitting, but the Kydex is molded for your knife (no rattle, and no wacky fit)

Nice collection btw!:D

I concur, Dan's work is top notch, but a heck of a lot pricier than Spec Ops. I think the SJTAC sheath I had him make was $75-85 after shipping. Too bad I sold all my SJTAC CGs and no other knife will fit in it (retention strap is tootight for the LE or any of the BATAC LE's).

i have enough problems carrying enough booze with me so why would i want to carry a couple extra inches of unusable scabbard.

You should hire this woman. Looks like her scabbards are overflowing...

I like the combat master more because it is more streamlined, and I have had problems with the snaps on the survival sheaths pouch. Two of mine got stuck and ripped through the fabric when I tried to undo them.

I removed the screw from my survival sheath for my SJTAC and it fits fine.
