The " Roosters " are crowing for the " Farmers"

Bill said that SFA had the wrong name , it was supposed to be something else that I can't remember.
They can be a little unorganized when trying to keep track the SFA’s.

Lyle hooked me up with this beautiful new Stag 38 at the Rendezvous.

Nice Carl.

This is the first Paxtons Knife I had seen . I am fortunate to have obtained it. This one has a steel bushing inserted into the "tang" of the ivory spud. :)

L-R . The checkered J Wood ( looks to be another Sheffield maker other than J Rodgers) and two Joseph Rodgers. All are made in honor of Joseph Paxton , the horticulturalist and architect of the 1851 Crystal Palace , the first ever World's Fair. I would guess the pattern was commissioned shortly thereafter.
The Joseph Rodgers are stamped Paxtons Knife on the blade.

I couldn't fit the three opened and showing their three blades as whittlers, so I scanned their secondary blades separately.

Wow!! Such great Budding and Grafting knives!! Knockout collection. Lyle!!

The ivory was used because it is non-reactive! The spud is used to "tease" the bark loose!! Carbon steel would rust and pollute that sensitive area!!
Ivory predates the later use of stainless steel!!
Thank you. Interesting. I've never had any talent with plants. My mom though, she was amazing.
