Today I received the perfect solution for the problem of the blade edge
striking the inside of the frame. This is a common problem with the
Laguioles. It is a kit with 5 (V shaped) strips in 3 differend sizes.
You pick up the size that fits the inside of the handle and push it gently
in place. When you close the blade, the edge closes in the V form of the strip. Not only for Laguioles but also for other knives with the same problem it is a practical solution.
The name of the product is Durafil. It comes from France. I payed EUR.3.50 for the kit ( about $ 5,-)
