The Traveling Spyderco Delica. . .

So, there used to be bordellos in Tombstone. Since that's illegal now, this one operates as a bed and breakfast. Mr. Brownstone thought this so funny, he insisted on a picture with the business sign.

Front entrance to OK Corral. The site was a business stabling and renting livestock, as well as providing services such as shoeing and so forth.

Photography business that was next door to the OK Corral at the time of the gunfight. This is where the injured and dead of the Clayton/McLaury faction were taken after the fight.

Actual site of the gunfight. Originally, this was a pole fence corral that was visible from Fremont street, and the fight actually took place partially on the street and partially within the corral. The entire business is devoted to the tourist trade now, as is most of the town, so the fence is stucco and no one enters from this side anymore. They do daily re-enactments of the fight inside the business (those who watch have to pay - it's a show), so they have to control access to get their money and to prevent live weapons from coming inside. There are gunfight shows in the streets on the weekends, too. I think they're kind of dumb, so I never go.

Tombstone city hall has been in continuous use since it was built. The City Marshall's office is still located here.

So, that's the tourist stuff done.

I'd never messed around with an FFG Delica before - this little guy just zips through stuff, like food and cardboard and so forth. The edge came hair popping sharp, and stayed useable for most of the visit. Touched up a couple of times on a strop, and then finally on a ceramic rod and a strop.

Perfect carry size. Glad to have visited with it. Bought a Jazzz Wharncliffe.

sixgunner455--those are great pics and a very interesting history lesson of your area. Thanks for sharing!

No problem. Kind of fun to Flat Stanley around with Mr. Brownstone. When I told my wife what I was doing, and showed her the pics, she immediately called him Stanley. :)

So, now I have my own D4 again.

Who's next? :)

Mr. Brownstone will be traveling 1774 road miles to visit BilboBaggins in the "Shire" of Wisconsin! Upon his arrival he will have traveled approximately 19,150 miles in total!
