Thoughts on FMV14?

I don't think that exists...

I think it’s considered “dark” tiger hide on the nukes that were issued

$867 was Nuked price add 20% on inflation plus $30 for insured shipping. If you can get into a Nuked for $1K. That’s fair IMHO.

I appreciate you sir... I'm going to overpay by a ways...
The typical way I approach Busse products is a 3% inflation per year from the date of issue. Now with 2021 being anomaly. So 12% from 2018 plus insured shipping at $30. That what I do when I’m looking for a fair deal. Flamesuit on……

I dig it, and, I feel like I've stolen a few lately 👊... Thank you sir

Dont believe the CPI🤣 its a lie. Feels like 20% to 100% to me... take out food, gas and everything else the common person uses and then maybe 12%

Interesting question, and I've a had all three.
Right now I have a Short Butaniku, Gladius, AK, Wakki, Rucki, F-16, FMV-14, TNT-15, and I released the Hognose War Sword back into the wild.
Of the three, I would go with the FMV-14, then the Gladius, then the Hognose. The FMV-14 is much faster and more controlable. I just love the Gladius (and lemme tell you she ain't petite!), but the Hognose was just too heavy for my taste at 41.5 oz.

Rad! thank you sir. I scored the FMV14 and can't wait to get it in hand.
Where would you place the F16 in the lineup of those three?

And now I'm curious because you have a bunch of them, what order would you put The Short Butaniku (have you had the long version?), AK, Wakki, Rucki, F-16?

I've drooled over all of them, I think likely the Gladius will be next, or the F16, but the AK and Short Butaniku really have my attention too.

Your thoughts on the Hognose, that was my initial thinking, though they look cool as hell

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate the response

"Dark Tiger Hide Linen Micarta" is what Jerry called it:

What is the nuclear option you may ask? The Nuclear option on the FMV14 is a grab bag of sorts. You will receive one of the handles listed below with the caveat that you do not get to pick which one you get!!!! You have NO CHOICE! You will get whatever you get by the blind luck of the draw! This is not for the faint of heart but rather for those bacon loving HOGs who do not fear the unknown!!! A veritable PORKpourri of oddball handle material!! We have dug through a mountain of left over pieces of handle material and have found the following:

[ ] Never released Gray and Black G10
[ ] Tequila Sunrise G10
[ ] Black and Yellow G10
[ ] Desert Storm G10
[ ] Solid Olive Green G10
[ ] Snow Hole Linen Micarta
[ ] Jungle Storm G10
[ ] Black Paper Micarta
[ ] Dark Tiger Hide Linen Micarta
[ ] Unknown?

The Nuclear option is ONLY available on the competition finished FMV14. It will also include the Busse Custom Shop logo, polished handle tubes, as well as extra attention to the finish of the flats on the blade and outer perimeter of the handle by the Crab Shack!!!

In this Piglet's opinion (and that's all these are) , I prefer the grip on the F-16 to either the FMV-14 or the Gladius. So I would put them F-16, FMV-14, Gladius. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Gladius, it's a real monster blade and I won't sell mine. Every person that puts the Gladius in their hand gets that stupid grin I get, and we turn into 12 year olds carrying a Scutum and crossing the Rubicon. It really is a lotta fun to play with.

If you want a big Busse sword, the Short Butaniku is hard to beat. They're very rare, but they do pop up occasionally. Practically speaking you're talking about walkin' around with a 24" bladed sword with an OAL of 36" on you. That's BIG... And, I actually have a baldric rig for it, so I don't carry it around much. Now practically speaking, if you like that Japanese style like me, the AK is a much more carry-able package, and easier to acquire. It straps to your pack or you and it's easier to carry. If your budget is tight, the TNT-15 is really a superb price to performance piece. I'm really diggin that little beast... I passed on the OMG-15 and a couple other blades thanks to my HOA deciding I needed to paint my house, but that looks like a great sword too, and I'll probably grab one later.

I've not had the opportunity to handle a full size Butaniku. Every, single time I had funds, there were none for sale, but there were multiple available taunting me when I didn't have the money. Ain't it always that way?!? Some day she will be mine... Oh yes...

I need to take pix of most of the newer blades we're talking about, but here's a couple interesting shots of the older swords.

I still have them all, and I stripped the BG AK with black / black canvas and it came out BEAUTIFUL!

Rad, thanks man. This was super helpful - I made a deal for an FMV-14 - will be here Tuesday

As far as swords go the AK is becoming more appealing, and I will have a Gladius sooner than later.

Great collection, wow. Is the CS AK white coated or is that the angle of the light?

Oh yeah! Once you get your Gladius, you'll see that grin on your face too! 😁

The CS AK is satin, its the lighting... I need it to cool down so I can take some more pix:

My thoughts on FMV14
…hanging on a wall/display ?
Find a big tree, or wood wall. Turn into a huge 2 handed throwing knife…
Which would actually be kinda cool 🤔
