Thoughts on Hinderer Vintage XM-18

Usually I am not into wood handles but I have to admit these ones are very appealing

I was really thinking about getting the flat walnut version

They're very cool! They're not necessarily my style but I love seeing Hinderer release these types of models. Rick and his team have really been blowing me away with the new innovations like the tri-way, models like the Vintage series, and new materials for all lines. Put me down for a 3.5" canvas Micarta scaled CPM Cruwear slicer please!

They look great, and if I could afford one, I would definitely make it my first Hinderer. Hinderer has really been great over the last year.

Not sure how I feel about them but there is zero doubt it's a great addition to the Hinderer line up.

How hard is O-1 steel be to keep rust free? With the dlc, how much/how often would you oil it?

This one caught my attention too. It was cool to hear Rick Hinderer explain the different design elements in a recent Shot Show video.

Seems like the smooth walnut is the more sought after, and is sold out everywhere I looked. I thought I'd prefer the smooth over the textured, but the finish on the smooths I've seen doesn't look that impressive in pictures IMO. Maybe the textured one is the one to get?

Man, these look nice! Love the vintage hardware. And everything else. Thanks for the videos.
