Three favorite Spydies...

I have kind of steered away from spyderco purchases last few years.
One interesting aspect of my remaining pieces, all but one is from taiwan.
I have two old sabre ground zdp 189 enduras that I had krein regrind, before he even had a makers/regrind mark.
My brother has one and I still use the other regularly.
My three would be: GB1. Sage 1, and mantra 2, anyone grabbing that mantra at discontinued price is getting one hell of a bargain.

PM2, Military and Manix 2.
Between them variations of those 3 models make up 11 of the 13 or so knives that I regularly carry and use.

1. Delica 4 FFG in various colors (most pocket time in total of any knife I have owned I would guess)
2. Endura 4 FFG in various colors (2nd most pocket time)
3. PM2

Not a Spyderco guy at all.

That being said, I full on like the Jess Horn and the Baby Jess Horn as much as any knives I've ever owned.

I also consider the Delica to be one of the finest EDC pieces ever made. Hard to beat.

The choice of my "3 favorite" Spydercos depends on for what purpose the knives were designed/made.

Of course, some knives cut across categories but here are my current "3 favorites" based upon my arbitrary categorization of them. Note that I intentionally avoided naming any specific knife in more than one category even if it may be one of my favorites in other categories as well.

You can argue w/my categorizations (and I could create even more) but I think you get the "point." There are way too many types of knives that Spyderco has made that can be reduced to just "3 favorites."

BTW, I own all 66 of the knives listed (which represents about 1/2 of my Spyderco collection) w/the exception of the Szabofly that I still hope to buy one day, if I can find one for a reasonable price.

I am not really into the sprints and I usually prefer the production models
Based on that here are my favorite 3 studies:

1-Paramilitary 2 with a preference for the s110v

2-Native 5 lw with a preference for the salt in LC200N

the third position is difficult for me to pick as there are lots of great designs...

3-Spydiechef but the GB2 is also very good after working a little bit the lock bar access (I did it with a dremel)
