TM Bowie Steel Identification

How do I identify which steel my Cold Steel Trailmaster Bowie is? Was told it an"older O1" model, but from what I'm reading, the newest versions are O1. Mine has brass guard and Taiwan marking. Came with Leather sheath.
 
You are right, the 01's are recent and come with a secure-ex sheath.
If your TM says Taiwan and has a leather sheath it is a model 39L16CT, satin finish SK5 blade
made in 2009 and 2010. The model changed to a secure-ex sheath in 2011.
 
I got mine in 2013 and it came in a secure ex sheath. It's Sk-5, made in Taiwan. The new O-1 might indicate the steel on the ricasso, but I'm not sure as I don't have the new trailmaster. The new O-1 Laredo bowie does indicate the steel on the ricasso.
 
Yes, the 01 Trailmaster has a Secure-ex sheath, brass guard, satin blade.
The left side ricasso says "Trail Master".
The Right side ricasso says "Cold Steel" and below that "Taiwan 01".
