Total Transformation!!

I really like them. Where I feel the micarta shines is in adverse condition(read wet and cold). That's where the grip characteristics of micarta become beneficial.

As was stated above, there are cheaper ways, like friction tape. For that matter you could rough up the stock grips.

All my knives are micarta, no wood.

A lot of knifemakers make their own micarta so I dont think its all mass produced.

You can get a 2 x 4 of maple or walnut for what??? $30 But take and make handles out of it all of a sudden those little chunks of wood are worth what? I think the price is in the machining/crafting of them and not the material.

i feel the same way about micarta. i think it's way overpriced for what it is - an easily mass produced product. i think it has something to do with it being a niche product. similar to crushed walnut shells - $20 a bag when you buy it from a gun store/labeled as "tumbling media" for brass but you can find the same exact thing for $5 a bag in a pet store

Micarta Picts. I think I finally figured out the picture thing
