Trying to identify

I inherited a knife and a bayonet that supposedly was used during WW II. The following is the information on each blade, if you can give me any further information, it would be appreciated.

KNIFE: Cattaraugus
225Q

BAYONET: US (on one side)
1899 (on other side)

Both are in good condition.

Maybe Jerry had a great grandpappy whos name was Cattaraugus Busse? Just a thought
