hello

I have just received an Umnumzaan with a tanto blade and I am shocked.
It is an incredible knife!
I am already a fan of the large Sebenza and of the small Inkosi. The Umnumzaan just complete the family in the best way I can imagine

I was really not expecting such a surprise.

The large Inkosi was not really for me but the Umnumzaan.... wahooou!

I just wanted to date some love for the Umnumzaan for you
I was not expecting to love it so much

‘Zaan lovin’?
All right!
Congratulations on a great knife and welcome to the enlightenment of Umnumzaan club. ;)

Congrats. I ended up removing the clip and put in the titanium clip cutout plug offered by CRK. My Zaan is now unbelievable comfortable to do heavy cutting.

Why did I read this (expensive) thread. I’m a big CRK fan, but has always been on the fence about the Zaan until I read this, randomly.

The Zaan starts to break in and it is really a beast
I confirm that so far I prefer it over my large Inkosi

I have a drop point Inkosi
The action of the Zaan and Inkosi are very similar
The lock bar is more comfortable on the Inkosi but easier to access on the Zaan
Otherwise the action is very similar
The sound is very different due to the o-rings on the Zaan

On my Tanto Zaan the grind is higher than I the Inkosi and IMO it makes it a better slicer

Both are very good and very comparable but i like the more neutral handle of the Zaan

At the end it will be a question of personal handle and ergonomics

Agreed the zaan has a specific feel. Love it.
