Uncle Henry

I have an Uncle Henry stockman which I like very much. Especially the spey blade, after finding out that it can be used for castration...

What steel are they using in this knife, and in Uncle Henry series?

The Uncle Henry knives use "Schrade+" steel, which I believe is 440A. I have three Uncle Henrys, two stockmans and a trapper, and they get real sharp. I don't think they hold their edge as long at Schrade's Old Timers, which use 1095. And one of my stockman's main blade has a bad spot or something on it. I just can't seem to get it as sharp as I would like it, but it's still usable.
