Unknown-to-me pattern or modified muskrat?

4 1/8" closed.

Same stamp on both blades, no number that I can see.

I'm trying to show how much room is in the well for the short blade to have started longer. I think not enough, but that's what I want to believe. Blades are the same width, as near as I can squint.

It's the only one like this I've seen. Anybody know it?

I guess these pics content me that the knife isn't modified.

Are you sure it's not 4"? Looks like a 7803 3/4 to me. See 1940 catalogue.
