USMC knife has arrived

I've got to admit, my first reaction was to cringe too. But for a "pure" user, it makes huge amounts of sense.

Just for the hell of it, here's the 18 Rick Bowles gave the same treatment to for his son in Iraq:

I like the look too. forget about shiny polished blades they are only going to get mucked up around me anyhow.

I only thought i wanted a model 18 before. I always thought they would look better with dirty stainless tube, lightly oxidized brass and a heavily stained carbon blade. :D Thats one hell of a make-over, I hope the tacti-cool crowd misses the photo our wait time will suffer.

Bead blasting is finished I will post pics later its damn good looking !!!! Stay tuned.

I am currently at Parris Island and graduation is tomorrow am at 0730 he will get the knife later that day. I will let you know how its gos.
