Vespa knives are about legit as they come. Super clean machining, high quality steel, butter smooth operation.

It looks like Vespa's Boker Kwaiken clone is in the mid $200s, though? I think at the time of this original thread, there weren't so many options for OTF's. Now for that price you can get something much better like an Axial or a Hogue or the new Kershaw Livewire. I haven't seen Vespa recommended for a while. If you're limited to under $100 there are a few companies assembling Chinese parts in the US for about that much, or Maxace now has the Archer which is probably the clear winner in that price range.

A lot has changed in 7 years. I think the average person can actually get service from microtech now, whereas 7 years ago you couldn't.
