Well, we're at one infraction and two warnings. Next taunt or name call gets it locked. Your call, folks.
We do prefer to keep comments civil here in Becker. Otherwise, it goes to Snark or gets official attention.
I'm sorry for letting it go this far, guys. All further posts from will only pertain to my OP. Despite all of this, I'm still quite proud of this video. It's been on my to-do list for a while.
I will say, when I was watching the video my fingers were quite tingly. I'm glad you didn't get hurt!
Having heard some of the conversations...Maybe think about what you'd say at a campfire at his house.
I'd be lying if I didn't say I take this video kind of personal. This issue has been on my mind for years. I hate to hear/read opinions about how "cheap" or "unsafe" Beckers are, and it always seems to be because of the scales. I hate to admit that I was one of the people that thought the same about the scales (scales only, never thought Beckers were cheap). That's why I did this video. I really wanted to prove the value of Ethan's knives. I just lost my cool when a few started to put it down. It's not just my word, or reputation being slammed here. It's Ethan's too, and on HIS forum. This makes me a little mad, as well. Again, I apologize for my unprofessional conduct. I can still learn a thing or two from E when it comes to criticism. He's the best. I only hope he appreciates this video as much as I am privileged to have made it.
Good showing Rick. I was cringing at times for sure.
Thanks, man. I was really scared at first. Captain Airyca said I made her scars tingle. Lol
XD I wasn't lying! Very stressful video haha!
No, it's not safe to oil up your knife and stab a tree hence your nervousness and half hearted stiff shouldered stabs. The same reason you stopped swinging it into the stump. It was slippery. A couple more swings and your knife would have left your weakened grip. A couple of real stabs and you would have cut your hand. A hand full of oil on a smooth plastic handle is a recipe for disaster. You didn't prove what you set out to in my opinion. Watching the video and seeing where your hand ended up on those half hearted stabs and on those last couple hacks......
You May attribute your non accident to handle design and Mr Becker but the cheap smooth plastic did nothing for you. Perhaps a comparison to some g 10 or micarta? Please don't.
