This is a beautiful, fully refinished Wetterlings axe head hung on a new hickory handle. The head is in top used condition with zero rust and no signs of abuse, great patina. The bit and poll are excellent and the eye is perfect. The wedge is rock solid and the head will not budge, it is super tight. The entire axe has been treated with boiled linseed oil. This refinished axe is awesome and has been hand sharpened to shaving sharp.
The axe is 36" long and weighs just about 5lbs. The 3.5lb head is 7.5" long with a 4.5" edge.
