Very nice looking handle. Is it oval or "D" shape?
It is an oval. My wife said the handle was a bit big for her hands but overall I'm pleased how it turned out. I just epoxied the blade in place.Very nice looking handle. Is it oval or "D" shape?
I just leave the tang somewhat coarsely finished (60 to 120 grit) and make sure to use plenty of epoxy. The times i've had to remove handles after doing this have been a complete PITA, and the handles i've had break have been due to lack of epoxy or poor design (don't put spacers too close to the end of the tang)Any issues drilling holes in tang for extra epoxy hold? Like 3/16” hole in a 1/2” tang. I see simple little life puts notches in his tangs before glueing but other do not seem to do anything.
