Wax for bandsaw?

guys i use wax from time to time on my metal cutting saw ,it does work well helping keep crud out of the gullets while cutting . the wax of course can get into the wheels and cause problems . that is why you install brushes to keep those things out of the important moving parts.
i did this when i broke a brand new blade after a sliver of titanium went down between the blade and rollers.
 
WoW...6 year old thread.......FWIW there is an inexpensive push tube lube "Boelube" 4 ounce is like $3 and good for drill bits and end mills not messy used this stuff for all my "dry" cutting processes.
One of my best friends, the blacksmith who started me in this hobby years ago, was a machinist for Boeing where and when "Boelube" was developed. Uses it on drills, mills and his Portaband (mounted in a vice for quick, small cuts, HIGHLY recommended for those who don't have this set up yet...) but not the horizontal band saw.
