Westbury Sales Company Knives

I would like to buy some of the Wolf knives and others made like them. how much and how many available? I had one of these I bought from Westbury in 1976.
Thanks, Mitch

Mitch, there were some for sale last time I checked at the location I had mentioned. Do you live in NY? I don't think they have a web site...

Hey tom19176

Is this G I issue a knife store? I am in Suffolk NY and I am always looking for a new knife shop. Could you let me know where it is.

The G I is a knife store that was located by the Old Tri county on 25 A. I recently learned they closed that location, but they still have a booth in Tri County Flea Market in Levittown. There are a few knife stores around here that may make it worth the trip for you. There is their location in Tri County, then This is the Swordman on Sunrise Hwy. near Seaford and there is T&T Gunnery that has a large knife selection, and fianlly World of guns on Rt 110 has a big knife selection. If you know the short cuts all these stores are within 15 mins of eachother.

Thanks tom19176
I knew about T&T and the Swordman, I like the swordman. But World of Guns is new to me and I know how to get to all of them. Thanks again.

Your welcome.....if you go to Tricounty they have a fairly good display and they are the ones with the old Westbury Sales items.....World of Guns also uses the name Americamn Sportsman....they are on 110 near Adventureland in Farmingdale.......

Hi Tom - Are you still following this Forum? I have a great story about Westbury Sales ad and I am looking for a Legionnaires K96 Survival Boot Knife from them for my son. He saw the ad in a 1984 Popular Science mag! (he is now 36 years old & married with a son) - Thanks - not a joke - ManOf Action

I had one of those when I was younger. Lost it. I would like to find another too. Good luck.

Heres an old Westbury Sales ad I found while flipping through a Pop Mechanics mag from the 70's. After reading some of the posts above, I decided to create an account just to share this photo. :)

o my lands. the 25c postage and handling was 6 to 8 weeks then. I was waiting forever for my swiss army style knife...4.50 plus .50 s&h.

I owned one of their 10" clip point lockbacks. If memory serves me, I was 12. I loved that old Japanese thing (it was a whopping $2.75 + shipping then).

Those were the days.

After looking at the Westbury Sales ad, I realized that I twice owned lever lock autos (both of the "clip point" persuasion). With the "bull and torero" on the side. On my last specimen, the pin that locked the blade in the closed position wore out. I got rid of it.

I wish the Japanese outfit, (or AKC of Maniago Italy and Leverletto fame) would reintroduce a "hump back" lock blade version of these knives they would/should sell quite well.

My friend & I found Westbury Sales in the small ads in the back of Field & Stream Magazine when we were in Junior HS. We'd buy our cherished knives using Postal Money Orders. Had to intercept the delivery before the parents got to the mail ;-). Ohhhh, it was like Christmas when we got a new Westbury Sales knife in the post- which we bought by skipping lunch to buy knives 👿. We liked the lock-blades with the black plastic handles. Wish I had held onto these over the years; don't recall whatever became of them. From reading this thread, apparently we weren't the only devotees of Westbury Sales back in the early '80's. Great memories reading these stories.
