I have what appears to be a fairly old pocketknife marked "Western" and underneath the maker name of Western it is stamped "USA", and on the other side of that blade it is marked "657" which is the model number. I can't find anything like it on ebay, etc. by searching.

It is a three blade knife like a stockman, except it has what looks to be a leather punch blade instead of a knife blade.

(I wish I could post photos but not smart enough to use the gadgets I have)

Anybody know anything about this knife as far as being common, or age estimate? Looks to be from the fifties.

That tang stamp would date it from the late 60's thrpugh the early 80's. Brown delrin imitation bone handes were used until about 1984 when they were switched to smooth wood.

Thanks guys for the info.
I don't know much about Western knifes.

You guys know your stuff all right.
