I'm trying to date and get more historical information about this Western. Any help would be appreciated.

I remember that Buck (I think Buck 106) produced a kitchen/barbecue set in the 70s, a hatchet kit with a knife. similar to the one you posted.

Thanks Gato.
At least to my eye the stamp doesn't match any on the the charts I find. The handle pattern certainly pays homage to Western hunting knives we had back in the day.

This is a western model F10 from the Black Beauty series, it came in a set with the f10 " hatchet " and a model f66 knife.
It looks like there is / was a model number stamped onto the guard which would point to 1966-1973 era.

This is more of a hatchet shaped knife as far as I'm concerned, they also had the pattern 14 ( f14 in this case ) which was drop forged and had more of a hatchet profile instead of just being flat knife steel.
