What angle is Benchmades knives sharpen??

Whats funny that lots of you guys are getting dull knives is that on the box it says packaged sharp :)

To be honest, thinking back to when I got my AFCK and 921, both were sharp enough that I cut myself on them accidentally. I guess when my new ones come in I'll see if things have changed.

just imagine having to sharpen hundreds of knives per day, they don't really have time to make it perfect.

you sure about that?

because kershaw and spyderco dont seem to have this problem. and I would guess that kershaw sells loads more knives than benchmade, considering the prices charged.

FYI I sent them back for warranty repair, and benchmade sharpened one, and replaced the blade on the other. Both came back shaving sharp. But nowhere near as sharp as my Izula.

The Izula I had was about as sharp as a butter knife and had what looked like a 90 degree edge bevel on it. I was the first owner so it can happen to any production knife and I have heard of quite a few customs that came quite dull as well.

I'm very sure, you name the company and I'll tell you about the edges I've seen. Its everyones mistake to judge sharpness by what the factory does anyways. Factory edges are a curde 2 step process (if you lucky) of grinding and polishing just so the knife is useable when you get it.
