What are the markings?

Sorry but I just got to know its bugging me now. Looked and cant seem to find an answer.
What does the triangular symbol represent found on spyderco blades and some pocket clips?

What exactly does it look like besides a triangle?

I know that Sal and Eric have put their unique "signatures" on a few of their knives that they designed. Perhaps it's one of these.
