I am bout to order a some maxpidition backpack, versipack, bottle holder etc. What color do you prefer of those?

I miss posted this here, I wanted this to be in the wilderness and survival forum. My apologies.

I got my Maxpedition Jumbo in khaki, felt it was a little more neutral than the other ones.

I don't have one but like them. I like OD green backpacks but I get the eye. I would get black, but it shows the dirt. Loosearrow

I generally prefer OD Green, then Khaki & Black last.Black heats up too quick in the sun.

Let’s see if we can find the right forum …

i like green most, kaki next, not a huge fan of black backpacks, unless they are lined in a lighter colored material.

dark colored packs are hard to see inside of, because light doesn't get around so easily. kaki doesn't show the dirt, and is more sheeple friendly than the black or green...

its really your call though...

Cougar Allen, thanks for moving the thread.

guys, think I'll be getting the khaki one

OD Green, Foliage green, Khaki in that order.
Question really is, is hiding while you hike a priority?

If you're just hiking, and not trying to blend in, just buy the one that you like the looks of best. Personally, I DON'T like the screaming bright blues, reds, and oranges on most non-military type packs. Not that I'm hiding or blending, but it just looks so out of place in nature. Of course, if you're lost or injured and need people to find you, that's an asset. . .

I also don't care what people think of my pack color. If they think OD is military just because of the color, then bully for them.

I like the tan stuff, even military style gear doesn't look so "survivalist" and it also goes with my surroundings.

None of the above. If I am out hiking alone and happen to pass out or something from exhaustion or a sugar slump (has happened) I prefer to be attached to the noticeable blaze orange lump on the trail...

OD, coyote or tan. I use my hiking gear when working and hunting so black is out and most contrast colours as well.

Try to avoid black since it sticks out in nature and makes you look like a mall ninja all at the same time:p :D ;)

I got the tan because it looked less tactical than the black or green to me. I have the Fatboy with a Janus to carry my camera in. I am used to carrying a regular inexpensive backpack like you see everyone with so I have to get used to this new bag. I like it's features and the different compartments better than a regular backpack.

I also made a coke can alcohol stove with a 24oz Heineken can pot that I saw how to make on Youtube that should fit perfectly in the bottle holder to make tea when needed.

I gotta go with Khaki as my first choice and OD green as the runner up. Anything but black IMO. Gene
