I found another thread for this topic but it was 10 years old.

What knife gives you the most bang for the buck? Any purpose any type. Any price any reason (please mention reason or reasons it is "bang for buck.")

Mine is Kizer Dukes. I paid $42 dollars for it. Tough little knife. Just enough blade for everyday cutting and very lightjweight - about 3 ounces. g10 handle and n690 steel.

Thank you in advance

I have several knives that are a good bang for the Buck. 😝 But I think of all the knives I’ve ever had and used from the cheapest to the higher end premium steel blades that most qualifies is my Buck 303 Cadet stockman in 420hc with brass bolsters, and rosewood dymawood scales. I think I paid about $30 for it about 5 years ago. It isn’t necessarily my main working blade but I use it almost everyday and it keeps a decent edge and the 3 different blades, clip,Spey, and sheep’s foot it can perform lots of different tasks. It’s small size is easy to carry in pocket but it’s not to small or delicate to do some hard work.
I have some other edc knives that work hard and perform excellent but anytime I’ve forgot and left my 303 at home I really miss it. I guess I need to get another one for a spare to keep in my lunch box. 😆

Byrd Cara Cara for a modern folder that just works.

CIVIVI Imperium if you want something that appeals to enthusiasts and has a bit more style, but you don't want to drop much scratch.

Giant Mouse ACE Iona if you feel like you really need some premium stainless for under a bill.

Delica in K390 if you REALLY need steel that will hold an edge.

Those are a few off the top of my head.

Mine is the Bucklite Max, either the large 685 or the small 684... like $20, easy to maintain, tough, corrosion resistant, great warranty and easy to carry.

Moras are always gonna make this list. So are Opinels.

But the Bucklite Max is my favorite so far.

You can get these on sale from Bucks web special page for less than $14, excellent hollow ground blade for the money imho.

Probably my Alox Electrician.

Five days a week, every week for the last four years. A steady diet of packing tape, wire jacketing, and the occasional stuck starter bucket. It doesn't do everything I want it to, but I have a whole truck full of tools to back it up.

Have owned and used the heck out of a full size Boker sodbuster slip joint I bought used years back for around $20. They come in a smaller Jr version or as a lock back. Case makes some nice ones for >$30.

As much as I love Civivi, I have to give the folder crown to the CJRB Feldspar in terms of cheap -> quality and utility. You can get it for 30 something...D2, big pointy blade, neutral handle, ball bearings.

As to fixed blade, that crown goes to the Mora Robust...no competition. I bought mine new for 13$ and beat it to s*** (it backs up my 200 puuko) cutting and prying. It just wont quit and I've sharpened it on a piece of river rock before.

Edit: I actually bought it after this video haha
