What is your favorite peanut?

I recently picked up an older custom peanut by Joel Chamblin in pearl. Its about perfect. I liked it so much I called Joel and ordered another.

My "favourite" Peanut is also....my only Peanut! :) A custom from Johnny Stout that he delivered to me at last year's Blade show. Johnny doesn't make many "plain" pocket knives and this one's a sweetie.

I got my peanut in red bone CV a couple days ago and it hasn't left my pocket (except for an oil bath to darken the handle). I really like this little knife. It actually isn't that small, I had been carrying a rough rider pen knife for a couple of days to see how I would like little knives and the peanut feels bigger, even though it is physicaly smaller. The round bolsters feel very good and that clip blade is very thin and sharp. I do find the pen blade a little awkward to open because the nick is on the left side and it has a stiff spring. It really does dissappear in your pocket, I have thought I left it behing a couple times because I couldn't feel it. I think I will carry it for a long while and let a natural patina form, if once it gets a dark patina and I would still like a damascus peanut, I will buy one. I have a feeling it won't be going anywhere without me.

Have seen several photos of knives with blued blades in this thread...

What happens when you sharpen blued blades? Is it blue thru and thru, or does the blue scrape off? Asking because we're not too good about leaving any knife untouched up on a shelf somewhere. We use 'em no matter what they are.

The blue is only on the suface like a patina. It will come off the edge when you sharpen it. It actually looks good this way, makes it look very sharp because the edge stands out. I have cold blues a couple knives and I like it ok.
