Continuing with ferider ferider 2023 thread, post up what you have purchased for the new year in 2024.

Paid for my Volunteer knife model 11 on Jan 1st 2024 that just Bart just finished for me. That is my 1st official 2024 knife purchase.

Pics deleted to try and make enough room for new ones

I hate that you were all correct. I bought one more knife for 2023.

I picked up a spyderco mule in k294 with scales. I needed a small knife with great edge retention for the kitchen. I'll end up forcing a patina to help protect the steel slightly. Should work great.
 
I was already doing a pretty good job at slowing way down in the latter half of 2023. When I got to the point where I'd get a new knife in, say to myself, "Oh, that's nice", then promptly toss it in the knife bin or case, I knew I needed to make some changes and reevaluate my priorities a wee bit.

2024 should see my 2023 CPK preorders fulfilled. I will get in on most any other CPK pre-order if they become available (and I'm not too late to the party). I also plan to pick up a Busse or two and I might splurge on a couple of folders if the opportunity arises. There are a select number of makers that do infrequent releases that I'll be keeping an eye out for as well. Otherwise, my plans are to keep my knife acquisitions to a very modest number and hopefully be able to free up some capital for my other interests.
 
On my list is a BFK in magnacut, EDC, a CPE (ordered but not yet paid), and then a couple of folders. I am really trying to keep my collection and buying overall relatively small.

I anticipate I'll move a few to make room for a few.
