What knives would you carry in TWD?

I've never understood why all of those goofuses don't have some type of sword or long machete on them at all times, at least until Mr. Negan confiscates them or something.

For normal stuff a Fallkniven TK2, Swisstool Spirit X and lastly.. a katana of some sort? Wtf do I know, prob end up peeing my pants the first day :)

Instead of a large knife, I think I would carry an RMJ Tomahawk. The sheath system makes it so easy to carry. I have a Mini Wren, but I would probably want the full size to get some more reach.

I also really like the Busse Active Duty in Elmax steel.

The third choice in this fictitious scenario is harder. I cannot decide between a flipper that would act as a fidget to pass the time, or a small fixed blade, a SAK may be a good choice too.

For real, though, I would probably go with a Cold Steel large Voyager clip point for a durable utility folder that cuts well, but could be resharpened in bad conditions, a Terävä Jääkäripukko as a tough, easy to sharpen blade for utility and outdoors tasks and a Condor Latin machete for clearing trails and necessary chopping. If multitools are allowed the Voyager would be replaced by a Leatherman Surge.

For anti-zombie activities I would stick with blunt weapons. Repeated blade on bone impact is absolutely gonna mean edge damage and constant resharpening is gonna make any blade go away far too quickly. In a world like the one portrayed in TWD I would baby my knives as much as possible, as they would be hard to replace and immensely valuable tools.

1. Glock knife - zombies 6" blade, fire making great battoner, flint, throwing knife, spear, easy to field sharpen. Designed for killing people and survival. Very Lightweight for its size and good sheath.
2. victorniox farmer - food prep and small wood cutting with saw, can opening cause lots of canned food in apocalypse, multi tool if needed
3. dragonfly salt h1SE - quick small cuts for rope and things, wont rust, and almost zero weight. Back up for self defense if needed.

So in your zombie scenario you're luring them with some sort of pied piper thing, serving them some pbj sammies and giving haircuts?
I guess a well groomed zombie horde would be appealing.

Something like that!

I think we have that. It's called US Congress.

I have thought a lot about this very topic. My choices now would be limited but if I could go out and prepare, I would get a Busse of some sort, or any large fixed blade with a simple blade shape. I would also carry a Victorinox Champion Plus for odd jobs and food prep, and an Emerson Horseman in my pocket for overall use and last ditch self defense.

I would bring my Strider DB-L and MSC Jibble, no third knife as that is valuable ammunition weight

For the zombies my M1917 Trench knife.
For the humans my Gerber LHR
And for everything else a multitool with a blade on it...
